Questions we actually get asked
What size should I order?
Two sizes up from your usual Australian fit — if you wear an AU Large, order the 2XL. The knit is stretchy, so one size up works if you like it trim. This is the answer to most of our emails. The factory's full measurements are on the size guide.
How much is shipping?
Nothing, anywhere in Australia. No minimum spend and no threshold to hit — one polo ships free just like eight do. Express is $15 if you want it, and New Zealand is a flat $20. Full breakdown on the shipping page.
How long will it take to arrive?
Delivered in 7–12 business days. If it is tied to a date, order three weeks out rather than the week of.
Are these real golf polos or novelty shirts?
Both, and we mean that. Lightweight moisture-wicking performance polyester, three-button placket, ribbed collar — the same construction as any technical polo you would buy in a pro shop. They are also covered in beer. The two are not mutually exclusive.
Will I get thrown off my course?
Almost certainly not. Australian club dress codes are written against uncollared tops and against clothing carrying substantial advertising slogans or offensive language. Ours are collared, tuckable, and carry no text at all. That said, some private clubs have their own views on pattern, and we cannot know yours. If your club is the strict sort, Hops & Hazards and Clubhouse Pilsner read as tasteful from any reasonable distance. Liquid Handicap does not, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Will the print crack or peel?
No. This is all-over sublimation — the pattern is dyed into the fibre rather than sitting on top of it. There is physically nothing on the surface to crack, peel or flake. It will not fade in the wash either.
Will it be see-through, or smell after a hot round?
No to both. It is an opaque performance knit, not a jersey mesh, and that includes the pale colourways. Polyester moves sweat rather than soaking it up, so it dries fast — wash it cold after a hot day and it comes up clean.
How do I wash it?
Cold machine wash, hang dry. Do not tumble dry and do not iron the print. It dries in about an hour anyway.
Where are they made?
Manufactured and dispatched by our overseas production partners. We are upfront about it — it is why the price is what it is, and why delivery takes 7–12 business days instead of overnight. More on the about page.
Can I return it?
Yes. Thirty days, unworn with tags, for a refund or a swap. Faulty or wrong item is entirely on us, postage included. See returns and refunds.
Can I get the whole group into these?
Yes, and it works out cheaper per head than custom embroidery. 15% off two, 20% off four, 25% off eight or more, applied automatically at checkout. Group and ambrose orders.
Do you ship to New Zealand?
We do, at a flat $20. Anywhere else, get in touch and we will see what we can arrange.
Will there be more designs?
Yes. Get on the mailing list and you will hear first.
